All the Raunchy Humor You Can Cram Into Forty Minutes
Salt Lake City, UT – The Underground Artist Association is proud to present Wanda’s Visit, a one-act comedy by Christopher Durang, directed by Leslie Ford. Performances are Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12, at 8:00 p.m. at the Utah Center for the Arts, 2191 South 300 West. Seating is limited. Tickets are $5.00.
Wanda’s Visit takes us into the restless relationship of Jim and Marsha, who have their lives thrown into disarray by a visit from Wanda, Jim’s old high-school girlfriend who has been on a downward spiral ever since their breakup 20 years ago. She entertains (and frightens) them with stories of her past promiscuity and various possible criminal activities, all the while flirting inappropriately with Jim as Marsha tries to remain a good hostess. Due to mature content, Wanda’s Visit is not appropriate for all audiences and should only be viewed by open-minded individuals who want to be thoroughly entertained.
The Underground Artist Association began in 2001 as a community art collective in Erie, PA. The UAA has since expanded to Salt Lake City, where founders Brad and Leslie Ford have produced several visual art shows, including the sensational Dangerous Art Show. Wanda’s Visit is the first stage production for the UAA in Utah.
