Kenley is a contemporary artist specializing in black and white prints, linolium carving, stencils, and multi-media painting. Her work has been featured in the Utah based publication Listen , as well as exhibited at the original Dead Goat and The Upstairs...
Before her recent move to the Boston area, Kenley was an active member of the experimental arts community in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, she came to appreciate the value of {self teaching, believing that experimentation is a necessary element in the creative process. Through her use of bold lines and straight-forward imagery, Kenley explores the fine line between heartache and love, the inescapable yet undefined pain which exists therein, and the often overlooked beauty in heartbreak.
In addition to her ink and media work, Kenley has also experimented with black and white photography, glass blowing, silk screening, bottle cap art, and 3D sculpture. Her current projects include a compilation of short stories and illustrations entitled Torn Tales for the Love Sick , and a series of paintings called She Never Goes Down First which explores the taboos of one young womenÕs experiences and struggles within the throws of modern American culture.
